Flood Relief

You may be wondering how you can help with the flood relief.  First and foremost, we encourage you to pray.  Lift everyone up who has been affected by this tragedy.  Prayers really do make a difference.

If you feel led to help in a concrete way, we have several options available.  You can donate financially to our church with “Flood Relief” noted and we will make sure it goes to help with those affected by the flood in Llano, Burnet, or Kerr County.  You can also donate money, time, or other resources directly to the Ark of Highland Lakes (previously known as The Highland Lakes Crisis Network).

If you are in need of flood assistance – please let us know or reach out directly to the Highland Lakes Crisis Network (Ark) for meals, cleaning supplies, muck out assistance, and more.

Host Church for Flood Relief July 23-26

We are thrilled to be hosting a team from the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield, TX for a few days next week to help with flood relief.  The details are still coming together, but we wanted to get you the main info that we know so far.

A group of folks from the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield will be here July 23-26 to help the Ark of Highland Lakes with community flood relief.  Their team will be arriving here on Wednesday, July 23 and leaving Saturday, July 26.  We’ll meet at our church on the evenings of July 23, 24, and 25 for a meal and mini worship service; we’d love to have you join us.

Here are some ways you can help…

  • Pray – Pray for the safety and protection of everyone involved, for healing for all affected in this tragedy, for God’s will to be done
  • Fellowship – Come to church for the meals & worship services on the evenings of Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, July 23-25, at 6:30 pm
  • Host – Provide a place for them to stay the nights of July 23, 24, and 25
  • Meals – Their church is bringing a food team along but we would like to offer help wherever they need, setting up tables, grocery shopping, food prep, etc.
  • Tear down – Friday after the last mini worship service
  • Volunteer at the Ark – help on a work team July 24 & 25
