Cameron, Beth & Shiloh Cole

I was born and raised in a Christian home and grew up as a missionary kid in Turkey and in Thailand. My parents were lovers of Jesus but I didn’t want to have anything to do with Him until my senior year in high school. During my senior year (winter of 2009), a man came to my school and spent an entire week singing songs and sharing the gospel. It was during this week that the light switched “on” in my heart and I began to see this Jesus and understand that the way to life and joy and peace is His way. The truth that all my awful decisions and hurtful words could be washed away forever by faith in Jesus was the sweetest news I had ever heard, so I began to follow Him and dig into His word. I completed a bachelor’s degree in “Bible and Theology” at John Brown University in 2013 and hopped on a plane back to Thailand to begin a new season of following Jesus across the ocean. He eventually led me to Uganda, Africa where I found my “missing rib” (Many of our dear Ugandan friends were convinced that Beth was my missing rib, and they reminded me often.) Well…they were right! Beth and I met in June of 2014 in the remote villages of Africa and I followed her to Burnet, Texas where we were married on April 10, 2016. God led us from Africa to Kingsland for His own purposes and we are blessed to be a part of His story. The chapters ahead are unknown to us, but we rest on this truth: “He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.” Psalm 62:2
