July 4th Aqua Boom Outreach

Once a year Packsaddle Fellowship has the unique opportunity to reach the community as they gather right outside our front door.  During the Aqua Boom celebration we transform our parking lot into a platform for demonstrating the love of Christ.  From the bright yellow T shirts that proclaim our love for Jesus to the free hot dogs and cotton candy, our chief desire is spread the kindness that God has given to us in Christ.  Teams of people spread out along the parade route to pass out water while other volunteers work in and around the church to run our miniature carnival oriented to providing joy to the kids of the Highland Lakes area.

Open Door Recovery

Located in Marble Falls, Texas Open Door Recovery House was the vision of a recovered addict. Her’s is a story of perseverance and hope. The mother of six who had no money to obtain help made it out of her destructive lifestyle of substance abuse with the help and support of her church, friends and a 12-step program. One of the goals of the Open Door Recovery House is to provide an affordable recovery program where individuals can learn life skills while they work their way back into society.

Highland Lakes Pregnancy Resource Center

Located in Kingsland and Marble Falls, the Highland Lakes Pregnancy Resource Center exists to honor the sanctity of life by sharing the unconditional love of Jesus Christ in guiding personal choices involving sexuality, relationships, and pregnancy. HLPRC is affiliated with Heartbeat International, which is an organization that oversees thousands of centers like them across the US and around the world. HLPRC is also working with Focus on the Family who provides support and materials.

Campus Crusade (CRU)

Rick and Julie Levy serve within CRU operations by producing print design materials that will support missionaries all over the world, giving them the tools they need to effectively share the gospel.  They directly support Campus Crusade’s Global Short Film Network, the SimpleBulldog film team and Bridges International as well as CRU’s international and regional headquarters.

For His Glory

For His Glory is a Christian ministry, partnering with Maison des Enfants de Dieu, an orphanage in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, that seeks to care for and meet the needs of orphans in Haiti. For His Glory’s goal is to fulfill the Great Commission, reaching out to a physically and spiritually starving nation and giving God all glory as He works in and through them. They are dedicated to offering the good news of the Gospel to birth parents of voluntarily orphaned children, and those living in the surrounding areas, by providing by both spiritual  and physical needs through education, love, water and discipleship that prepares them for eternity.

BeBroken

Led by Jonathan Daugherty, BeBroken is an international ministry of hope and grace that exists for believers who are struggling with sexual sin, especially those offered by internet and pornography. Based out of San Antonio, Texas, their mission statement is “healing sexual brokenness, by God’s grace, one story at a time. For more information, visit their website at: www.bebroken.com

Grace School of Theology

Located in the Houston area, Grace School of Theology has an international outreach, partnering with ministries around the world. There are many pastors who have little or no theological training. Grace offers quality, theologically-sound, seminary level training to pastors and other students who have no other way to get it.

His Joshua House

HJH mission statement is to provide a supportive, safe house for men whose lives have been separated from God through addictive behaviors and destructive life choices; to facilitate the recovery and restructuring of lives through 12-Step Programs utilizing Christian principals.

Salvation Army in Kingsland

Located in Kingsland, the Salvation Army handles our benevolence needs for people who are not Packsaddle attenders. The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

Sharing the Harvest

STH is an ecumenical, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing food to families in need throughout the Highland Lakes area. Our goal is to provide healthy and nutritious food to families in our community. We also have a Social Service Outreach Coordinator from Central Texas Food Bank once a month that can sign clients up for government social services, such as SNAP (food stamps), Medicaid, CHIP (children’s health insurance program), TANF (temporary assistance to needy families), Perinatal Women’s Health Program (18-44 yrs old), and Medicare Savings Program Application assistance.

Voice of the Martyrs

Headquarters in Bartlesville, OK, Voice of the Martyrs provides spiritual and physical support for Christians being persecuted or killed for their faith and for their survivors.  They provide Bibles, literature, and training for underground churches. They share the trials of persecuted Christians with the Western Church. They build up and support indigenous churches.

Kingsland Boys & Girls Club

The Kingsland Boys & Girls Club is an after-school program for children who have no other place to go after school. They have many activities and are able to present the children with the gospel. The club meets at the First Baptist Church.

Jesus Film

The Jesus Film is a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU). They made a film of the Gospel of Luke in such a way that it can be dubbed into other languages. It is done using native speakers of unreached language groups, and the lip movements coincide with those of Jesus in the film, so that it appears that Jesus is actually speaking in those languages. Film teams take the movie to remote places all over the world, as well as to large cities. They also have made a few other movies for specific purposes, and use modern methods such as solar powered DVD viewers and an online website on which user can watch the Jesus film in many languages. They have had remarkable success in winning souls and planting churches.

Jews for Jesus

Jews For Jesus witnesses to Jews (and Gentiles) using innovative methods such as musical and acting groups, and teams that stand on busy streets handing out pamphlets to start conversations. They exist to make the Messiahship of Jesus an unavoidable issue for Jews worldwide. They have missionaries stationed in New York, Toronto, London, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Berlin, and other cities with large Jewish populations in many countries.

Back to School Blast

Back to School Blast is a program for giving school supplies to needy school kids at Packsaddle Elementary School. Children are given a backpack with supplies, plus shoes, socks, haircuts, vaccinations, and dental exams.
